Batch Throughput Weighers
Technopark Automation & Control supplies batch throughput weighers that can measure throughput starting from grams to many tons per hour.A batch throughput weigher consist of a feed hopper fitted with a feeder device on the discharge end, a weigh hoper with load cells, and a receiving hopper. The process is continuous where one batch is weighed at a time and discharged from the weigh hopper to the receiving hopper.
Technopark Automation & Control batch throughput weighers are self adjusting on the zero setting and the span calibration can be checked through lowering a test weight on the weigh hopper from time to time.
Applications
Batch throughput weighers are used on applications where plant throughput needs to be measured or to deliver a fixed amount of product.
Typical applications are in the sugar and milling industries.
Capacity
Batch throughput weighers can range in capacity from grams per hour (gold powder) to a few hundred tons per hour (sugar).
Accuracy
Expected accuracy is better than 0,25 % of design capacity which is comparable with static weighing applications. A significant operating feature is that the throughput weigher can be adjusted to perform automatic zero tracking on a given number of specified cycles, removing the primary error contribution on the system operation.
Product features
- Inlet feeders can be pneumatically operated gates as well as belt feeders, screw feeders and rotary vane feeders. Product parameters will determine the type of feeder gate used.
- Each batch is totalized on discharge from the weigh hopper and the management reporting totalizing software can provide hourly, daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- A throughput weigher can be built fully enclosed to contain dust and emission of dust particles to atmosphere.
- Technopark Automation & Control generally use the M-CON 2000 Microprocessor controller in batch weigher applications. This controller features digital and analog I/O to control the batch throughput weigher process.
